Here’s the thing about Grandfathers. They love you unconditionally and only want you to be happy. They are your best friend. Your “other” parent - and will protect you from anything and anyone with a “switch/belt” (like my Mom or Mama). It’s a different kind of love - and a year ago today that love was taken away from me. I know my Papa is in a better place but man I miss that dude.
